Hundreds of gardens across Scotland are set to open in aid of charity now that travel restrictions are set to be lifted. The gardens are all members of Scotland’s Garden Scheme, which organises openings in aid of good causes.

National organiser, Liz Stewart says: “We have lots of new gardens taking part this year and we are updating the website in line with the new guidance on when openings can go ahead.”

In the meantime the ‘yellow book’, which details all participating gardens is available for sale online at www.scotlandsgardens.org/buy-the-guidebook.

Amongst the gardens which are participating in Scotland’s Gardens Scheme for the first time this year are 10 Menzieshill Road, which contains one of the original nine wells that are scattered across the west end of Dundee, and Harlaw Farmhouse near Kelso, a one-acre garden with more than 65 varieties of named daffodils as well as mature walnut trees, a cutting garden and an orchard.

Visitors to the SGS website can sign up for e-news in order to get the latest updates on openings.
